The first Aquathon of 2019 started at Thrybergh last week with lots of new participants taking part for their first swim run event. The results have been posted on the TriYourTri facebook page so pop over and have a look to see how you did.
If you want to join us in June for the next event have a read below for more information, you can then sign up on the Gotri website, everyone is welcome and they’re an ideal first time event or even a good opportunity to practice your transition skills before your main race.
Heres what it’s all about…. Aquathon (swim followed by run) event. Open water – 300m followed by 2.8km trail run. Traffic free for beginners and experienced competitors, marshalled run with open water safety support.
Swim/run/swim event- 300m swim, 2.8km run, 150m swim – great practice for anyone wanting to complete swim/run events and triathlon.

Practice in the safety of a small open water event with expert support and advice on hand to guide you through, Perfect event for first time open water swimmers who would benefit from a confidence boost before their event, for those more experienced an opportunity to gain a PB at a fast flat course.
Children friendly, café, showers, BBQ area, camping, indoor play area, 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes overall.

Kids race starts at 6pm, adults race starts at 6:30pm. Registration open from 5pm.

Swimming:
- 1 or 2 piece costume for ladies
- Trunks or shorts for men
- A wetsuit if your swim is open water
- Don’t forget your goggles!
Running:
- All you need is a pair of trainers
